Credit Report

Free Credit Report Access

The Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act required the creation of www.AnnualCreditReport.com.

This central source website allows you to request a free credit report, once every 12 months from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies: Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.

Request your Credit Report(s)

It is entirely your choice whether you order all three credit reports at the same time or order one now and others later. The advantage of ordering all three at the same time is that you can compare them. (However, you will not be eligible for another free credit report form the central source for 12 months).

On the other hand, the advantage of ordering one report every four (4) months is that you can keep track of any changes or new information that may appear on your credit file disclosures. This option is a good preventive measure; guarding against identity theft and fraudulent transactions.

You can also contact AnnualCreditReport.com by calling 1-877-322-8228.
Free credit reports are available under Federal Law, (FCRA §1681j).

Caution: Other sites may offer a “free” report and credit score but you may find yourself signing up for a credit monitoring service that will charge you a monthly fee after the first 30 days of your “trial period” are over. Please exercise caution and ask yourself “why do I have to enter a credit card number if the service is free?”
